Microsoft and NVIDIA join forces to create an AI supercomputer
The two companies will combine their knowledge and skills to develop a new project. The announcement came in these hours with a joint statement from Microsoft and NVIDIA. The new supercomputer will rely on NVIDIA AI GPUssuch as the recent H100 with Ada Lovelace architecture, and the various networking components such as the switch NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand da 400 Gb/s. Microsoft, on the other hand, will include its platform in the project Azure. The two companies will work together to optimize the operation of DeepSpeed, Microsoft’s deep learning software.
