This year too, the selection of cars at Milano AutoClassica 2023 did not disappoint the expectations of the most demanding enthusiasts at all. Let’s enjoy a summary of the event that colored the days of last weekend in Milan!
We had already anticipated it in our presentation of the event and we reiterate it now: Milano AutoClassica 2023 is increasingly synonymous with qualityboth in terms of the cars on display and in the proposals dedicated to the market, without forgetting the precious involvement of many bodies and associations protagonists of the world of vintage cars, ASI and ACI History first.
On the other hand, it couldn’t be otherwise, given the great attention paid to the organization of the event and of course the very high appreciation of the public Italian for the protagonists ofgolden age of the automobile (as this study shows). In the exhibition spaces of Rho Fiera Milano it was possible to immerse oneself in an absolutely unique dimension in which history, culture, passion and market coexist in symbiosis, giving enthusiasts and professionals in the sector unique emotions.
Milano AutoClassica 2023: works of art on four wheels
It’s difficult to say who were the real protagonists of Milano AutoClassica 2023: too many very high quality proposals offers from the event selection! He certainly left his mark the important presence of Ferrarivintage, modern and track-ready: the credit goes to the participation of Ferrari, of Ferrari Museums and of course also professional sellers.
Among the colorful “red” ones, they certainly enjoyed great success Ferrari 499P winner of the last 24 Hours of Le Mans, a 750 Monza, a 166MM Superleggera Touring, a 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, a 275 GTB and a 365 Daytona. The presence of a very particular Italian car was then noted, that is the Alfa Romeo Vittoria Chestnut coachbuilt: a one-off with a decidedly strong aesthetic and not shared by everyone, but precisely for this reason with great stage presence.
Youngtimers and the market
A large part of the exhibition spaces was dedicated to luxury and super sports cars of modern production, with the participation of exclusives official dealers and importers. Among the most awaited current proposals, the new one was also admired MG Cyberster, heir to the brand’s great Spyder tradition, this time available in an EV version. As usual, there was no shortage of areas dedicated to vintage spare parts, model making and specialized publishingto satisfy all the possible needs of the public at the show.
Of course there were also no shortages more “affordable” cars both for sale and on display, among which even one has found a place (it seems incredible!). Fiat Multipla embellished with the nice graphics of its creator, the designer Roberto Giolito. Finally, a great deal of space was dedicated to youngtimer, the classics of tomorrow which are already making themselves much appreciated today: we had said goodbye to some of them only a few years ago in the “shambles” and we never imagined we would be able to see them again displayed on a red runner!
The car: a passion to be protected
In the exhibition spaces of Rho Fiera Milano time always seems to stop: it is nice to be able to enjoy this atmosphere but we must remember that the vintage car sector is constantly evolving. Industry events change and morph, shift and expand, demonstrating just how big it is public interest and related turnover.
For this reason it will be necessary to increasingly protect and encourage the conservation of historic vehicles by creating appropriate exceptions to circulation, forming new specialized labor and especially passing on this beautiful passion to the younger onesthanks also to the precious contribution of themed events such as Milano AutoClassica 2023. Because the automobile, as well as being a passion, is culture, history, art and representation of Italian excellence in the worldwith a very rich industrial and artisan sector to support and enhance.
