This is one of the most anticipated live action adaptations of the year to which very well-known and loved actors are being added: the cast of Minecraft now also includes Kate McKinnon and Jemaine Clement
The film of Minecraftwhich is now filming in New Zeland, gets richer and richer. We previously found out that Jack Black will be in the film, a great addition that will bring a lot of people to see the film. Now Peru the cast of Minecraft is enriched with Kate McKinnon (recently seen in Barbiefind his complete filmography here) and with Jemaine Clement. The film is based on one of the most popular video games in the world which has sold over 300 million copies and boasts well 140 million active players monthly.

The actors who were already confirmed for the Minecraft movie are Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, Sebastian Eugene e Jennifer Coolidge. Now they are added to the Minecraft cast Kate McKinnonfamous for the well-known late show Saturday Night Live e Jemaine Clementwhich he starred in Flight of the Conchords. At the moment we don’t know what their characters will be and they haven’t even confirmed who the screenwriter will be in charge of writing the film. However, we know who the director will be Jared Hess and that Minecraft is made in collaboration between Warner Bros, Vertigo e Legendary.
We don’t yet know the details on the plot, but as it is an adaptation based on a video game with graphics “in blocks” where you can literally create anything with a little creativity, in the film Anything can really happen. We can’t do anything but wait to find out what will happen and what we will see in the film, maybe we could get an idea already with the first trailer. Let’s just hope that the project is done well and that they put the soul of the game into it.
