It’s official! A DLC is about to arrive with a new unreleased story for Mortal Kombat 1. Let’s see the details together
The new fighting game has enjoyed incredible success with critics and the public. It seems, however, that the NetherRealm has no intention of stopping here and, in addition to the upcoming expansions already announced with new fighters including PeaceMaker and Patriot, another DLC per Mortal Kombat 1. Not only. At Comic Con 2023 in São Paulo, Ed Boon (co-founder of the software house) declared that the title will be supported for years, probably even longer than it has been supported Mortal Kombat 11. But let’s find out together what this new DLC should consist of.
Mortal Kombat 1: what we know about the DLC
Mortal Kombat 1 will feature DLC which will expand the story mode; in fact, here’s what Boon declared during Comic Con: “Just like we did with Mortal Kombat 11, we’re going to publish a second part with more story, and we really have a big surprise in store about it.” Words, therefore, that give hope for the continued support of NetherRealm. Indeed, Aftermath (the paid expansion of Mortal Kombat 11) brought back some fan-favorite characters from the saga and managed to direct the story towards the events that would later happen in Mortal Kombat 1.
We still don’t know when it will be released on consolesbut in the meantime we remind you that the title is available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.
