All the names of the winners of the “short films” section for the Nastri d’Argento 2022. Among the titles in relief: Destinata Coniugi Lo Giglio by Nicola Prosatore, and Dreamland by Gianluigi Toccafondo. Here is the complete list
On Monday 9 May, all the winners of the section were announced Short films of the Silver Ribbons 2022. All the awards were finalists chosen from 180 short films published in 2021 and viewed by the newly renewed National Board.
Dominating the scene are Dreamland from Gianluigi Toccafondo for animation, e Intended for Spouses Lo Giglio from Nicola Prosatore. Like this the Italian Film Journalists who at SCENE, the space of the Lazio Region for meetings on film culturethey delivered the long-awaited award. Fresh section and great springboard for young directors, presented over the years in the Corti dei Nastri d’Argento section.
Impossible not to mention the Special award assigned to Giuseppe Piccioni per Evening Prayer – Diary of a Walk. Project presented at the last Venice Exhibition; the chronicle of the director’s hard work with his actors (Filippo Timi and Lucia Mascino). Interspersed with rehearsals and productions, the story of a theatrical piece in the days between the first and second wave of the pandemic.
A short film with the lead voice of Piccioni himself, of which the editor Esmeralda Calabria also signs production with AKI Film, Marche Theater with Rai Cinema (with the support of the Marche Region, the Municipality of Ancona, the Marche Culture Foundation).
Nastri d’Argento 2022: “Fiction” Shorts
Among the courts of fictionthe names of God dress you by Mattia Epifani; conclude by Federico Demattè; Roman night by Valerio Ferrara e The Nightwalk from Adriano Valerio. To dominate the scene as the best short, the aforementioned Intended for Spouses Lo Giglio by Nicola Prosatore. Leading actors Antonia TruppoLino Musella, Lello Arena and Isabella Saved; the story of a couple forced to pay an underworld agent, in order to cover the inaction of their son who has been lost for years.
The author also received special recognition for the commitment of the Media Fenix company to finance the post-production of his next short.
Nastri d’Argento 2022: “Animation” shorts
Beyond the winner Dreamland by Gianluigi Toccafondo, for the animation the finalists are: From every dawn, by Simone Massi; Flumina by Antonello Matarazzo, The bad news by Fulvio Risuleo and Mistral by Nico Bonomolo (recently awarded the David di Donatello award).
The Ribbon was withdrawn from Giuseppe Catalano and from Martina Santese, who together with the director Toccafondo, shared the concept of the short film with the subject and the music respectively. A journey summarized by extraordinary power in iconic places of cultural heritage and artistic realized thanks to the collaboration of the Opera of Rome and the support of the MiC and the Lazio Region.

Worthy of the title Special Mention for the commitment of the social issues addressed, are: Capitan Didier from
Margherita Ferri (produced by Grøenlandia in collaboration with Rai Cinema); subject of the screenwriter Roberta Palmieri, winner of the A Story for Emergency Competition. With open eyes by Mauro Mancini (Movimento Film with Rai Cinema for the Telethon Foundation), the story of the protagonist of Nuovo Cinema
Paradiso Totò Cascio suffering from a serious degenerative disease.
Infine a Manuela Cacciamani (One More Pictures) for his creative and not only productive commitment.
Also presented the preview of the winner of the To reward Us Pizza Panic; project carried out by the winners for the subject Luca Murri Fabiano e Leonardo Malaguti.
