Netflix offers previews of movies and TV series to a few select members
Some Netflix subscribers have had access to original content before their official debut. This is part of a feedback collection process by the streamer to improve his products. According to Variety, Netflix has been around for about a year it is aimed at small groups of subscribers inviting them to participate in a panel to give feedback on upcoming films e shows before their public release.
According to an email sent to the group, Netflix describes this initiative as “an incredibly important part of creating best-in-class content.” The e-mail reads:
We at Netflix are building a community of members to get feedback on upcoming movies and series, and we would like to know if you are interested in joining them. It’s simple, but it’s an incredibly important part of creating content, so we can bring you the best of the best.
Those chosen to participate in the panel are asked to watch a variety of movies e TV series over the course of six months. At the end of a product, they are asked to complete a survey indicating to the streamer “what you liked, what you didn’t like, how you would improve it or how likely you would be to recommend it to friends and family”.
Those who participate must keep theirs confidential involvement and are asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement. According to Variety, the panels should “represent a wide range of perspectives”.
At the moment it is clear what the impact will be that these feedbacks will have on movies and TV series. The streaming giant confirmed that the feedback panels took place only in the United States and we do not know if it will be extended to other countries as well.
