Here are some shots and unpublished details of the future Mercedes CLA AMG, the first car of the three-pointed star to be born on the new MMA platform: let’s see what it’s about!
Despite the bodywork, still completely camouflaged, it is already evident the grit of the new Mercedes CLA AMG. A strong character, which we find above all in sporting details such as larger brakes is one rear spoiler suited to the needs of the car, high-performance but still classy. Other striking details concern certain particularities that refer to the presence of one electric motorization.
The front is in fact characterized by a air intake closedtherefore only aesthetic, and it is noticeable the absence of the typical sports exhaust pipes of Mercedes AMG tradition. The design of the luminous imprint of the headlights is curious, but not exclusive to this model the silhouette of the star Mercedes. It is also evident how all four wheels contribute to raising the snow cover, revealing the presence of the four-wheel drivemost likely operated by two engines.
Mercedes CLA AMG: rigorous testing in Sweden
The new creation of Mercedes, signed AMG, is currently undergoing strict tests in Sweden, and other technical or aesthetic details are unlikely to be revealed sooner than expected. However, we can hypothesize one close correlation to the Mercedes prototype already presented at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, from which the car will most likely take various contents. Obviously great attention will be paid both to the dynamic qualities and to the construction detailsas in the best tradition of the house.
As for the engines, at the moment it seems that they will be made available also endothermic variants, although the focus will be primarily on electrical technology. There are still no clear indications on performance of the different enginesbut it is definitely likely that the electric Mercedes CLA AMG will be offered in single or dual engine variantwith an assumed power of 175 kW for single unit.
The batteries proposed for the different setups should be of two types: both with the LFP one (lithium-iron-phosphate), which with silicon oxide anodes. Both configurations allow optimization charging times and amount of energy stored. The new MMA platform (Mercedes Modular Architecture), prepared for the 800V technology will only increase the car’s performance at 360 degrees. The public expectations are consequently extremely high and there is a lot of curiosity: we at tuttotek will definitely talk about it again, with new, unpublished details!
