Did you think swimming pools were safe places? Well, you were wrong: here is the first official trailer for Night Swim, the new supernatural horror thriller. Producers include James Wan and Jason Blum. Screenwriter and director is Bryce McGuire, who based it on his 2014 short film made together with Rod Blackhurst. The film we are talking about stars Wyatt Russel, Kerry Condon, Amélie Hoeferle and Gavin Warren and promises to make the waters hitherto considered placid and safe in a swimming pool as threatening and dangerous as the deepest seas. Or, perhaps, like the houses most haunted by spirits and sinister presences.

The plot of Night Swim, which we report below, has many traits of claustrophobic and supernatural horror.
“Night Swim” stars Wyatt Russell as Ray Waller, a former Major League baseball player forced into early retirement by a degenerative disease, who moves into a new house with his worried wife Eve (Oscar nominee Kerry Condon), teenage daughter Izzy (Amélie Hoeferle) and young son Elliot (Gavin Warren). Secretly hoping, against all odds, to play professionally again, Ray convinces Eve that the shiny backyard pool of his new house will be fun for the kids and physical therapy for him. But a dark secret in the house’s past will unleash an evil force that will drag the family into the abyss of inescapable terror.
Night Swim will debut in US theaters on January 5 next year and will also arrive in Italian cinemas soon, even if there are no indications yet on the possible date. Naturally we will keep you updated on our pages dedicated to films and TV series.
