Nintendo Switch Online: arrivano Xevious e Kirby’s Dream Land 2

The pink ball and a shoot-em-up enter the Nintendo Switch Online bar: the surprise titles Xevious and Kirby’s Dream Land 2 arrive

They’re not the only games affected, but we didn’t expect that Nintendo Switch Online loosen his grip with his dropper: after Metroid Fusion, now they also come for subscribers Xevious e Kirby’s Dream Land 2. There are actually four titles involved, starting with a good billiards simulator. Indeed, Data East offers us Side Pocket, with which subscribers will enjoy a practical virtual pool table by updating the Super Nintendo app. Speaking of the Game Boy, however, HAL’s ravenous pink ball is in good, indeed, exquisite company with Burgertime Deluxea hybrid between puzzle-game and platformer without jumping, as well as a forerunner of the recent BurgerTime Party.

Xevious, Kirby’s Dream Land 2, Side Pocket and BurgerTime Deluxe: a respectable line-up for Nintendo Switch Online

Now let’s talk about the two highlights of Nintendo Switch Online, starting from Kirby’s Dream Land 2. The sequel to the title included in the service at launch brought copying abilities to the small screen of the Game Boy for the first time, following their debut in Kirby’s Adventure for the NES. There was not yet the possibility of exploiting different directional inputs, but on the other hand the second chapter introduced one of the most iconic opponents ever seen in the series into the lore of the Dark Matter saga. You can see all the games in action in the Italian trailer below, fresh from the publication of the Grande N.

As for Xevious, it’s a great vintage shoot-em-up for the NES. We take this opportunity to point out that all the titles added to the catalog today concern the offer for subscribers to the basic package, as Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64 and Sega Mega Drive are all exclusive to those who instead pay out a few cucuzza more to each renewal. All in all, today’s surprise line-up leaves us satisfied, although it would be a shame if the bullet hell Summer Carnival ’92: Recca for the NES remained exclusive to the Nintendo eShop on the 3DS, which as we know is sadly closing down.
