Nissan Qashqai e-POWER officially lands in Italy. This is in fact the first model in the award-winning crossover family to have a unique electrified powertrain on the market.
With a 100% electric engine combined with a heat engine that produces electricity, Qashqai e-POWER travels over 1,000 km on a single tank of petrol.
In the e-POWER system, the electric motor from 190 CV it is the only one that moves the wheels of the car e guarantees driving pleasure typical of an EV. It puts on the plate a torque of 330 Nm immediately available, at any speed.
The electricity required for traction is produced by a 1.5-liter, 158 HP three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, capable of guaranteeing maximum efficiency and performance thanks to the innovative technology with variable compression ratio. The system does not provide for plug-in recharging and to fill up with energy it is sufficient to fill the petrol tank at a traditional operator.
The energy produced by the heat engine goes to the inverter and from this can be transmitted to the battery, the electric motor or both. Under no circumstances is the thermal power transmitted directly to the wheels.
Everything is regulated by one sophisticated control unit which optimized the energy flows based on a series of parameters. These include the state of charge of the battery, the driving conditions and the demand for motive power.
Traveling at low speed, the energy produced by the heat engine goes partly to the electric motor and partly to the battery. When the latter is fully charged, the heat engine switches off and the car runs exclusively using the battery charge.
In case of strong acceleration or traveling at high speed, the energy required by the electric motor comes from both the thermal engine and the battery.
Nissan Qashqai e-POWER brings low consumption and low emissions to Italy
The new Qashqai e-POWER integrates e-Pedal Step technology, which allows you to accelerate and slow down using only the accelerator pedal. In practice, when you release the pedal, e-Pedal slows the car down, but without stopping it completely. This facilitates parking and low speed maneuvers.
Nissan Qashqai e-POWER is available in 5 trim levels, Acenta, Business, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna +, with prices starting from 36,270 euros. The car can be ordered from Nissan dealerships and the first deliveries are scheduled for October.
