Fujifilm Italy, technical sponsor

Fujifilm Italia is the technical sponsor of the OASIS PHOTO CONTEST ROERO 2023 exhibition, took care of the final production by printing the images on display. FUJICOLOR CRYSTAL ARCHIVE DIGITAL PEARL Original Photo Paper was chosen as the support, which is part of the wide range of Fujifilm silver halide papers, designed for highly professional photography applications. Pearl Paper is the most glamorous and distinctive photo frame in the family; contains a very particular component, i.e. natural mica crystals covered with a thin layer of metal particles which, through a play of transparency and refraction, give the printed images distinct silver-white reflections. Designed to obtain saturated and brilliant colors reproduced in a wide chromatic range, Pearl paper gives a particular depth to images that appear almost three-dimensional. PEARL paper is particularly suitable for all professional applications, portrait, fashion, landscape and nature photography, with a super glossy and iridescent effect, luxurious and elegant.

Fujifilm silver halide photographic papers retain a fixity of the image and colors unaltered over time, FUJICOLOR CRYSTAL ARCHIVE DIGITAL PEARL maintains the originality of the print for a very long time, making this product particularly suitable for museum or art gallery exhibitions. Comments on the event

Alessandro Cecchi Paoneeditor of Oasis magazine:

The launch of this new edition of the Oasis Photocontest was accompanied by the usual enthusiasm but also by some fears. We had come from long years of stoppage, waiting for the Covid storm to pass. The many adhesions received from all over the world were, therefore, a good sign. Indication of the great desire to return to life even through small things, such as participation in a photo contest. Summing up, 69 nations are represented in this 15th edition of the Contest, literally from every corner of the planet, from Polynesia to Malawi, from the Fiji Islands to Bahrain.

Rabbi Marianpresident of Atl Langhe, Roero and Monferrato:

We enthusiastically embraced the Oasis Photocontest Roero project because it represents an initiative of the highest level in the field of visual arts. Specifically of photography, to which the world of sustainable and quality tourism increasingly refers. The international competition organized by Oasis not only promotes cultural tourism in our hills, but becomes an instrument of dialogue and openness to the public to speak to the whole world about the environment and nature. A nature of which the Roero, with its fortresses, intact woods and itineraries traveled daily by tourists, is very rich. We are therefore convinced that this new edition of the Oasis Photocontest can contribute to making Bra and the Roero area a world reference for nature photography.

Gianni Fogliatomayor of Bra:

Bra is literally immersed in nature, a precious resource for outdoor tourism that shows ever greater potential. For this reason, at the top of the Administration’s agenda, there are the themes of sustainability and environmental protection which are declined in numerous interventions and activities. Furthermore, for a couple of years, Bra has been part of the Network of Sustainable Municipalities which guarantees constant monitoring of the parameters of attention to the environment and is a source of inspiration and sharing of commitment with other realities near and far in safeguarding precious natural resources and landscape of “our house”.

Silvio Artusio Combapresident of the “Mayors of Roero”:

Interpret a territory. Grasp its deepest soul. Capturing the moment that opens up to the imagination, that instant that creates poetry, art, enthusiasm and feeling. Roero, a land rediscovered, but which still and always loves to be rediscovered and reinvented by the tireless enamored looks of seekers of Beauty. A naturalistic mine of landscapes and passages: from heroic vineyards to easy cultivations; from meditative woods to centuries-old chestnut groves; from restful clearings to sudden and daring climbs. All this with the simplicity and convinced humility of the peasant roots, with the seriousness and wisdom of those who know the times and the seasons. Bringing such an important naturalistic photography competition to these majestic fortresses and these gently rounded hills is therefore not a gamble. Indeed, it is a strong affirmation of far-sighted vision.
