Huawei officially presented the new top of the range Huawei P50 and P50 Pro. The two smartphones arrive after many rumors and some postponements due to both the shortage of semiconductors and the US ban, elements that have slowed down the development program. Huawei formalizes the new P50 and P50 Pro in the 4G version

To manage the new Huawei P50 there will be one 4G version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC while on P50 Pro we will find the Kirin 9000, again only 4G. As for the display, the P50 can count on a 6.5-inch panel with 90 Hz refresh rate while the Pro has a 6.6-inch 120 Hz panel with curved edges.

For what concern photographic sector, the new Huawei P50 can count on a 50 Megapixel main sensor supported by a 13 Megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 13 Megapixel telephoto lens. The Pro version has a 64 Megapixel telephoto lens and a 40 Megapixel ToF sensor.

On the software side we find Harmony OS 2.0.

Price and availability

The new Huawei P50 and P50 Pro will arrive on the market shortly. Sales in China will start next 12 of August for what concern P50 Pro available to 5998 yuan (about 780 euros). The P50instead, it will be available starting from September with a starting price of 4.488 yuan (about 585 euros).

There are currently no plans for commercialization in Europe.
