In the past few hours, a rumor has leaked from a fairly reliable source on the net that would like ATLUS to work on a cross-platform remastered of Persona 3 Portable
ATLUS fans will still be delving into the wonderful world of Shin Megami Tensei V, the latest iteration of the company’s franchise that recently arrived exclusively for Nintendo Switch. A series that has been gradually expanding even spin-offs, among which certainly the most famous is that of Persona. Many of you will surely have known him with Persona 5 (perhaps in its Royal version), but the series has been going on for many years now. Consider that the first episode dates back to 1996. One of the most popular chapters of the series is definitely Persona 3 and fans will be happy to find out what is the latest rumor that has started to circulate about it in the past few hours.
Released first on PlayStation 2 as Persona 3, then in a revised and corrected version called Persona 3 FES and finally on PSP as Persona 3 Portable, the third installment of the series is definitely the one that has received the most re-editions and adaptations. And maybe ATLUS doesn’t want to stop there yet. A rather established leaker by the name of Zippo, who recently hit the spot with the leak on the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax port on PS4, Switch and PC, has in fact updated his blog recently stating that ATLUS would be working on a remastered version of Persona 3 Portable.
Persona 3 Portable: A Remastered Coming Soon? A rumor would seem to confirm it …
And that’s not all: apparently this remastered would also be cross-platform. The exclusivity of Sony PlayStation had already declined last year, with the launch of Persona 4 Golden also on PC. We also remind you that this year the series celebrates its 25th anniversary and that ATLUS has already stated that by autumn 2022 it will make seven different and all very important announcements. There are still five left, and we keep hoping for Persona 6.
Meanwhile, a remastered Persona 3 Portable on current-generation platforms wouldn’t be bad at all to sift through. We await further information, we remind you that for now it is exclusively rumor and, as such, we invite you to take everything with the necessary pliers.
