A day not chosen by chance: that’s why the highly anticipated Pikmin 4 is available starting from this very important anniversary
Shigeru Miyamoto’s Last Effort, Pikmin 4and finally available, but this is not a release date chosen lightly. We know the volcanic game designer of Grande N for his contributions since 1970, when the Kyotense company was still involved in toys. His are the illustrations for Sheriff, as much as he is the signature behind Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda. We also owe him Nintendogs, younger than the saga dedicated to floral aliens by just a few years; man’s best friend is a theme so dear to him that the decision to release the game today was taken precisely to make everything coincide with the World Dog Day.
Pikmin 4, now available for a once-in-a-lifetime day
Given the presence of the nice (and very useful) canine companion Occin, Pikmin 4 was destined to come out today. If not for him, at least for the first edition of the anniversary: it was the year 2004, the same in which the second chapter was released. But Occin is all but the only novelty introduced in the new episode, as you can see in the video above: night explorations, split-screen clashes and much more await us to which the versatile game design framework lends itself. As for today, from noon the creative duo RoundTwo will host the science communicator Willy “Zoosparkle” Guasti and the painter on his Twitch channel Simone Bordonaro. Pikmin-themed dioramas made with the latter will be auctioned on eBay until July 26, and all proceeds will be donated to the WWF.
