At least two years have passed since the beginning of the rumors about a probable return of the Metal Gear saga. Whether it was under firm Remake or Sequel it didn’t matter, the important thing was to talk about it and feed an ever-growing hype curve which then culminated last night, in a Sony PlayStation Showcase full of news, full-bodied trailers and lots of meat on the fire . And right in this mixed grill we find the official announcement we’ve all been waiting for: the return of Metal Gear is real. New followers and longtime enthusiasts can return to experience Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater in a new form. Set aside the number, the title will be called Metal Gear Solid Delta (Δ): Snake Eater and will be multiplatform, as rumored lately, and therefore available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S since launch.
During Big Boss’ adventure we will therefore be able to rediscover how his legend was born and how it was forged during Operation Snake Eater. The remake will feature the original voices of the protagonists, a rich storyline and the beloved survival mechanics in hostile environments, all emphasized by unprecedented graphics and a renewed audio sector.
