An Australian player finished the remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, released a week ago, in a speedrun lasting less than an hour: it’s a record
It would seem impossible, but someone has succeeded: a player has succeeded in finish the entire remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in a speedrun lasting less than an hour. The Generation IV remake game was released only a week ago, and already many are venturing into this adventure back in time (here our review!). But how is it possible to finish the game in less than an hour?
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl: here’s how it was possible to finish the remake in speedrun
The remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl seems anything but suitable for a fast run: for the uninitiated, the English term means challenge yourself in a fight against time to finish the title as soon as possible. We have published various guides on how to catch the various Pokémon present in the remakes (Manaphy, the legendary Cresselia, Ditto, for example) so we wondered how it was possible for this player to finish Shining Pearl so quickly.
The phenomenon in question has a name (or rather, a nickname): he is Wersterlobe, is Australian and is a subject matter expert fast gaming; has a YouTube channel and a Twitch totally dedicated to video games and completing them in no time. Shining Pearl isn’t the first Pokémon game that Wersterlobe finishes in record time: she has already played the original Pokémon Pearl in 57 minutes, and Pokémon Emerald for GameBoy Advance in just under three hours; however, it must be said that sometimes (not always, as specified in the videos) to be faster it uses the glitch present in the various games.
