A special and unique car

The engineers of Weissach give life to a special model, to celebrate the iconic sports model 911.

The exclusive 911 S/T celebrates and strengths of the 911 GT3 with package Touring and the 911 GT3 RS. Proposing an exceptional mix of agility and driving dynamics. The car combines the 4.0 boxer engine naturally aspirated liters from 386 kW (525 HP) of the 911 GT3 RS. The gearbox is manual with short ratios.

All accompanied by an extremely light structure and optimized traction to ensure agility and handling.

All numbers of the 911 S/T

The 911 S/T pesa solo 1.380 kg (DIN curb weight, including all fluids). It is configured as the lightest model of the 992 generation.

Il optional Heritage Design package is inspired by the racing version of the 911 S, of the late 1960s and early 1970s.

In terms of design, the anniversary model embodies Porsche’s expertise in GT and motorsports.

Agility and handling

Agility and handling, designed to guarantee maximum driving pleasure on winding country roads. The reduction of the rotating masses both on the engine and on the wheels and brakes ensures particularly lively reactivity.

Furthermore, the S/T responds instantly to the driver’s input. Every movement of the steering wheel, every pressure on the accelerator or on the brake are immediately perceived and reproduced with millimeter precision. Unlike the 911 GT3 RS, the development of the 911 S/T did not focus on use on the racetrack, but on journeys on public roads.

The denomination

The name of the new model indicates that the 911 S/T is the descendant of a particularly high-performance version of the first 911 generation.

From 1969, Porsche released a special racing version of the 911 S. Internally, these cars were called the 911 ST.

The changes made to the chassis, wheels, engine and bodywork significantly improved its acceleration, braking, traction and cornering characteristics.

Large spoilers and other aerodynamic aids were not yet used on these models.

That’s how you become an icon over time

So the The new 911 S/T takes up the spirit of the original 911 S (ST). and transfers this to the current Porsche 911 model generation.

Il celebratory model combines elements of the 911 GT3 RS with the bodywork of the 911 GT3 with Touring package. Rounding it all off with lightweight components developed specifically for the 911 S/T. The result is a unique driving experience within the 911 GT range.

Lightweight construction, from fenders to clutch

Among the various expedients, it is above all the light and homogeneous structure that gives the 911 S/T particular agility and manoeuvrability.

The bonnet, roof, front fenders and doors with their striking air intakes are made of ultra-lightweight carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP).

The same applies to the safety shell, the roll bar on the rear axle and the shear panel (strengthening element on the rear axle).

A special model

Porsche also equips the commemorative model with magnesium rims, PCCB carbon ceramic brake system. Lithium-ion starter battery and ultra-light crystals, all included in the standard equipment.

Thanks to reduced insulation, the elimination of rear axle steering and the reduction of powertrain weight.

This achieves a DIN curb weight of just 1,380 kg, which makes this fast, road-optimised sports car more 40 kg lighter than a 911 GT3 Touring with manual gearbox.

Light clutch

Porsche engineers have developed a new lightweight clutch exclusively for the 911 S/T. Together with the single mass flywheel, this reduces the weight of the rotating masses by 10.5 kg.

This significantly improves the responsiveness of the naturally aspirated boxer engine, which now revs up very quickly and immediately. Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox with a shorter ratio than in the 911 GT3, the powerful engine of the 911 S/T ensures even more dynamism. The 911 S/T reaches 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 300 km/h. The exhilarating driving experience is accentuated by the impressive sound of the standard lightweight sports exhaust system. The 911 S/T is the only 911 of the current generation to combine a double wishbone scheme at the front axle with a multilink system at the rear without steering axle. The shock absorbers and control systems have been tuned accordingly.

The aerodynamic characteristics of the 911 S/T have also been optimized for use on the road rather than the track. The celebration model comes as standard with a Gurney flap on the extendable rear spoiler. Standard equipment also includes lightweight 20-inch (front) and 21-inch (rear) single-nut locking magnesium wheels. The 255/35 ZR 20 ultra-high performance tires ensure a high level of mechanical grip at the front of the car. At the rear, the 911 S/T rolls on 315/30 ZR 21 tyres. CFRP bucket seats are standard. The four-way adjustable Sport Plus seat is available at no extra cost. The instrument cluster and clock of the Sport Chrono Package feature the classic Porsche green tone.
