Private Division announces new partnerships with independent developers

Private Divisiona label of Take-Two Interactive Softwareannounced that he had concluded four new publishing agreements with independent developers. Among them we find The Good Factory, Evening Star, Small Studio e Yellow Brick Games. Here are all the details.

The new Private Division collaborations

Thanks to these acquisitions, the yet to be announced titles of four studies will go to expand the catalog of Private Division. Michael Woroszexecutive vice president and head of the Private Division, said:

Private Division is always looking for the best creative talent in the industry: these four teams, and the titles they are developing, represent a range of genres capable of attracting a very diverse player audience. Die Gute Fabrik, Evening Star, Piccolo Studio and Yellow Brick Games have very different creative visions, we can’t wait to help them introduce their games to the whole world.

The new partnerships

The Good Factory was founded in 2008 by Nils Deneken and is now led by the CEO and Creative Director
Hannah Nicklin. The Copenhagen-based company develops titles led by the plot; their video game
most famous is the award-winning Mutation, a mutant soap opera where small-town gossip meets the supernatural. Die Gute Fabrik draws its inspiration from many different stories and disciplines, with the aim of broadening the horizons of videogames. The team is developing a new story-driven game.

Evening Star was founded in 2018 by Christian Whitehead, Dave Padilla, Tom Fry, Hunter Bridges and Brad Flick. Its headquarters are located in Los Angeles, with additional offices in London and Melbourne. Previously the founders have already worked for SEGA on the acclaimed Sonic Mania Plus. The debut title is a 3D platform game not yet announced which will use the proprietary Star Engine graphics engine.

Small Studio it was instead founded in 2015 by Alexis Corominas, Jordi Ministral and Oriol Pujado. Having enlisted many of Spain’s most talented developers, the debut title, Arise: A Simple Story has earned critical acclaim for its narrative style and gameplay dynamics. They are now developing a new IP in collaboration with the Private Division.

Yellow Brick Games was founded in Quebec City in 2020 by industry veterans Thomas Giroux,
Mike Laidlaw, Jeff Skalski and Frederic St-Laurent B. The team has worked on numerous successful AAA series in the past such as Dragon Age, Assassin’s Creed e Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. Its goal is to offer very innovative emerging game dynamics. The studio is currently working on a new, ambitious one action role-playing game.

In collaboration with the developers, Private Division will reveal new details of each project in the
near future
