Through a press release, Bethesda has confirmed the dates and the program of QuakeCon 2021, an event again in a completely digital format: QuakeCon at Home is back
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic that has been harassing the world for a year and a half now, almost all the events in the gaming industry have reinvented themselves by becoming completely digital and using the most popular streaming platforms on the market, YouTube and Twitch in primis. Just like last year, in short, QuakeCon 2021 is back in its QuakeCon at Home version, in which the community will gather online to play and celebrate their favorite games, as well as to raise funds for various charity campaigns. By means of a press release, Bethesda has confirmed the launch dates for QuakeCon 2021, which will be held from August 19-21. Kicking off at 8pm on August 19, the event will include special streams from influencers, Bethesda community teams from around the world, and developer commentary and speeches.
Virtual BYOC is also back via Twitch Teams, where the community can join and stay connected for the duration of the event via the event’s official Twitch Team initiative. Team will celebrate QuakeCon, allow games to be played and share, and help raise funds for entities supported by the event. Additionally, if you are part of the Bethesda community, you can also follow QuakeCon on the official Discord server.

Raising funds for charities continues to be a crucial aspect of QuakeCon, which has done a lot for local, national and international organizations. Players will be able to donate directly to organizations from the official Twitch stream, including Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC), NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, The Trevor Project and the ever-present UNICEF. T-shirts linked to animal charity initiatives are also back, the proceeds of which will be donated to Dallas Pets Alive and FOUR PAWS.
