RResident Evil: The series, inspired by the video game of the same name, is coming to Netflix today!
For fans of the horror saga Resident Evil the wait is about to end. It’s on its way today on the largest streaming platform in the world, the series inspired by the famous 1996 video game, the first to be defined “survival horror”, Intended as a survival adventure in a creepy setting. The 8 episodes they last about 50 minutes. It is not yet known if there will be a second season. Let’s find out everything you need to know together!
The plot and cast of Resident Evil: The Series
The events are set in 2036, precisely 14 years after the virus caused the global apocalypse. The protagonist Jade Wesker he will continue his struggle with survival, beyond which he will have to deal with his past which, inevitably, resurfaces. The story will develop along two timelines. The tv series was made by Andrew Dabbalready in Supernatural, which declared that he is ready to give the saga “a fresh, horror, adrenaline and action narrative”.
As for the cast, it includes Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Lance Reddick, Ahad Raza Mir, Turiough Convery, Adeline Rudolph, Ella Balinskia, Paola Nunez and Connor Gossatti. Production is entrusted to Constantin Film, which involves Robert Kulzer, Oliver Berben, Leah Sutton and Martin Moszkowicz.
Resident Evil: La serie represents only the latest transposition on screen of the famous videogame franchise. After the great success of the first chapters for PlayStation 1, came the debut in the cinema in 2002 with the eponymous Resident Evil, starring Jovovich mile. The latter will be the face of the film saga for the next four chapters, before the reboot that took place in 2021 with Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.
