Rihanna returns to amaze the public, this time lending his voice and talent to the new animated film “The Smurfs: The Movie”outgoing at Valentine's Day 2025. The announcement was made by Brian Robbins, CEO of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon, during CinemaCon, sparking the enthusiasm of fans around the world. The singer and actress will not only voice the protagonist, Puffetteas already announced last year, but will also take on the role of producer and author of the film's original music. A well-rounded role for the pop star, who once again demonstrates her versatility and great musical talent and not hers.
Together with Rihanna, a stellar cast for the Smurfs film
In addition to the singer, the film's voice cast boasts a stellar crew which includes Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, JP Karliak, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Nick Kroll, James Corden, Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Sandra Oh, Alex Winter, Billie Lourd and Xolo Maridueña. Added to them are the voices of Kurt Russell e John Goodman, which will make this cinematic experience even richer. The film, directed by Mike Thurmeier and produced by Matt Stone and Jeff Kline, will try to answer one of the deepest questions in the Smurfs universe: “What is a Smurf?”. An adventure of self-discovery, which will lead the little protagonists to experience new exciting challenges and to deal with big issues such as friendship, acceptance and diversity.
“The Smurfs: The Movie” promises to be a great cinematic event which will win over both long-time fans and new generations.
