Riot Games annuncia Teamfight Tactics Rising Legends

Through a press release, Riot Games announced Teamfight Tactics Rising Legends, the new competitive circuit for TFT in the EMEA territories

It is now clear to practically anyone who has even just entered the world of the videogame industry that League of Legends, a bit like Fortnite later on, has managed to create an entire world. Among the many spin-offs available, one of the most successful lately is Teamfight Tactics, a turn-based strategy game in which you can choose a team of champions to aim for first place in the match. Once you’ve recruited your champions from a diverse formation, you can equip them with items and place them on the board. Then choose your way and your strategy to defeat your opponents.

Through a press release, Riot Games has announced some interesting news for Teamfifght Tactics. Specifically, a new competitive circuit called TFT Rising Legends: Gizmos and contraptions. The tournament will run from November 2021 to March 2022 and will be managed by GGTech Entertainment, allowing players from EMEA territories (Europe, Middle East and Africa) to compete to share a prize pool of 43,000 euros. The competition will be based, as can be guessed, on the new Gadgets and contraptions set and will allow players to accumulate points and qualify for the EMEA finals through ranked matches in the game or the Golden Spatula Cups.

Teamfight Tactics Rising Legends: how will the competition take place?

There will also be local tournaments, culminating in the TFT Rising Legends Superbrawl, a regional event between nations. Over the course of the circuit, 32 players will qualify for the Regional Finals. So, let’s sum it all up in a quick outline:

  • Cups of the Golden Spatula: the three Cups will take place in December, January and March. Players will be able to qualify through ranked matches or by participating in their respective open qualifiers.
  • Rising Legends Superbrawl: an 8-region tournament with 2 representatives for each territory, competing for two slots for the EMEA Finals.
  • Rising Legends EMEA Finals: The best players in the EMEA territories will meet in this event, where they will compete for one of the four places for the TFT World Championship.
