According to a leak, Rockstar Games is working on GTA VI, the next chapter of the series, and on a remaster of Red Dead Redemption
Chris Klippel, one of the members of Rockstar Mag, the French site dedicated to the Rockstar development studio and all his works, has released of the leak regarding the GTA series, including some details regarding the possible existence of GTA VI and a future Remaster of Red Dead Redemption, which could also arrive on PC. Klippel was often a source pretty reliable, so it may be that some of the revelations he provided may be true. However, to be on the safe side, we would like to remind you that it is unconfirmed news, as it has been so far with all the various rumors about the game that have come out in recent times.
The leak about GTA 6 and the Red Dead Redemption remaster in development by Rockstar
According to statements by Chris Klippel, GTA VI, the new game from Rockstar, is actually in a state of development rather problematic, called the so-called “development hell”. In fact, it seems that after the departure of Dan Houser, the one who was vice president and co-founder of the development house Rockstar Games, the creation of the game was restored from the beginning. Also, it seems that Take-Two was planning to present the title in 2020, but obviously there was no verse. Since 2019, the studio has had to change the story and other elements in the game numerous times. This suggests that GTA VI is actually still a project quite confusing, perhaps one of the most chaotic Rockstar has ever developed, even more so than it was with the first Red Dead Redemption.
In the first title of the western series, they saw each other numerous referrals throughout its four years of development, often attributed to technological problems. There were also numerous complaints among staff regarding overtime and pressing crunch hours. Finally, Chris stated that Rockstar, in addition to GTA VI, is working on a Remaster for Red Dead Redemption, although he does not mention any console on which he would later find the release. It would be a remaster similar to GTA The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition: therefore we are not talking about a simple “Resolution increase”, and would also include some new graphics additions. However, it would be best not to hold your breath until Red Dead Redemption Remastered arrives, as that won’t happen very soon.
