Apple released today a new update for Safari Technology Preview, the experimental browser introduced by Apple for the first time in March 2016. The company has designed Safari Technology Preview to test the features that could be introduced in future versions of Safari, as a kind of test bed for what will later be distributed to all users.

Safari Technology Preview version 132 iIncludes bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector, CSS, JavaScript, Web API, WebRTC, Rendering, Media, and Web Extensions. Apple has confirmed that Tab Groups will not sync in this release.
This new version of Safari Technology Preview is based on the new Safari 15 update included with macOS Monterey and as such includes several Safari 15. There is, for example, a new simplified tab bar, very useful for organizing them quickly and intuitively, all with improved support for Web Extensions dedicated to Safari.
Live Text also now allows users to select and interact with text in images on the web; however to do so they are necessary macOS Monterey beta and an M1 Mac. There is also support a Quick Notes to keep track of Safari links and highlights, which obviously facilitates the organization of work.
The new Safari Technology Preview update is available for both macOS Big Sur and macOS Monterey.
If you are interested in this Safari Technology Preview update, to activate it you will need to go to the intro of the System Preferences and activate it from there, as long as you have downloaded it previously.
Apple’s goal with Safari Technology Preview is collect developer and user feedback about the browser development process. For this it can run side-by-side with the currently existing Safari browser, and although it is designed for developers, it does not require a dedicated download account.
