During Samsung’s Unpacked 2021, the company presented the new Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, smartwatches with unique features and compatible only with Android devices
The new smartwatches Galaxy Watch 4 e Galaxy Watch 4 Classic by Samsung are distinguished both by the size of the respective case (40mm/44mm the first, 42mm/46mm the second) and for the design, since the Classic models have the rotating bezel. The 4 configurations available, however, they also have a variate LTE with eSIM. They will be equipped with the new operating system wear OS with interface One UI Watch and, above all, they will only be compatible with smartphones with an operating system Android, starting with version 6.0. There isn’t at the moment no support for Apple’s iOS operating system. Their release on the market is scheduled for the next August 27.

What combines the 4 configurations available (actually 8 if we also consider those with LTE module), in addition to the operating system wear OS, is the presence of the new sensor BioActive 3-in-1 thanks to which they can be measured blood pressure, blood oxygen levels and calculate body composition for the first time, namely: muscle and skeletal mass, basal metabolism and the percentage of water and body fat. They are also present how to record over 100 different sports activities, the possibility of sleep tracking as well as of monitor its quality using the Sleep Score function. The autonomy declared by Samsung for these smartwatches is around 40 ore despite the greater power of the 20% of the CPU and the greatest amount of RAM on board. Finally, when paired with Galaxy smartphones, the new watches they will automatically sync alarms, blocked numbers, and even third-party applications. Also, if you install an application on your smartphone for which there is also a Wear OS version, the latter will be automatically synchronized on the clock.
