Samsung launches the new do-it-yourself repair program

After a few months from the official announcement, Samsung launched “do it yourself” repair program which was presented last spring. Such a program is realized in collaboration with iFixit. At least for the moment, the repair program launched today by Samsung is exclusively for the market of United States. In the future, however, it is reasonable to expect an expansion into other markets.

Samsung’s DIY repair program involves various components of its smartphones such as i display, batteries and charging ports. The company provides repair kits and instructions to follow. Users thus have the possibility to independently carry out the work to restore the functioning of the devices. At the momentthe program is limited to a few devices like the top of the range Galaxy S21 and S20 and the Galaxy Tab S7 + tablet. In the future, however, there will be an expansion of the program with the addition of new devices and more repair products.
