Sony has formalized the release dates of its films for this season, with the confirmation of the delayed release of Kraven and Ghostbusters: Legacy 2
The actors’ and writers’ strike which is still ongoing at this time is creating many changes in the film and television world as a whole, many of which will have after-effects. One of these changes is certainly the postponement of the release calendar of many serial or cinema products that had already been planned. And the first postponement is made official by Sony for its films, some of which are highly anticipated titles.
Sony announces official movie release dates
Sony took advantage of the announcement of the postponement of some scheduled films to confirm other release dates as well. Among the new announcements, there will be Bad Boys 4 starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, which will be released in US theaters on June 14, 2024. It will be an interesting release, as it coincides with Disney Pixar’s highly anticipated Inside Out 2 and thus fuels next summer with a head-to-head at the box office. Another important confirmation is Venom 3, which will be released in theaters on July 12, 2024.
With regard to the news on the slips, this sees several films involved, including the highly anticipated Ghostbuster: Legacy 2. The shooting of this film has actually finished, but the actors are also involved in the post-production phase, so the official date will no longer be December 20, 2023, but March 29, 2024. A not indifferent postponement, which also concerns the reboot of Karate Kid, postponed from June 7, 2024 to June 13, 2024. Another important shift in terms of months of difference is Kraven the Hunter which passes from 6 October to 30 August 2024.

- Gran Turismo, will be released on August 25 in the United States
- Madame Web will be released on February 14, 2024
