Sony continues to improve the performance of its products with a series of OTA firmware updates. Among the novelties released recently is the‘upgrade for the HT-A7000 7.1.2 channel soundbar, the top-of-the-range proposal of the Japanese company for its audio device sector. Sony soundbar update improves spatial audio function.
The new update dedicated to Sony soundbar a 7.1.2 canali HT-A7000 focuses, in particular on technology 360 Spatial Sound Mapping which allows for high quality spatial audio. This technology can be activated by connecting the soundbar to the SA-RS3S rear speakers or to the new SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers, arriving in Europe in June. Thanks to Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound Mapping soundbar technology, sound appears to come from all directions and distances, helping to increase the immersive effect. The technology is able to synthesize sound waves and, taking advantage of the location data, goes to create a series of “ghost speakers” creating a spatial sound field, particularly wide and engaging.
The new firmware for Sony’s soundbar can be downloaded from the sofficial company. Once the download is complete and the file has been extracted, it will be necessary to move the contents of the package to an empty USB device which will then be connected to the soundbar. From the soundbar interface, select the software update via USB option and follow the on-screen instructions.
