This is what emerged from Jeff Grubbwho commented on the latest statement by Lars Wingefors. During the last quarterly meeting with shareholders, the CEO of Embracer Group he stated that he was aware of how “everything I say becomes a headline” in response to a question about the remaster. Grubb gave context to Wingefors’ no comment, as according to the rumors the game was “taken from Aspyr Media, authors of many Star Wars remasters, and given to Saber Interactive.”

Bloomberg declared last summer that the development had reached a dead end. Embracer previously confirmed the involvement of Saber Interactivebut two months ago Sony removed the social media posts regarding the game (e privatizing the reveal trailer) attributing the cause to music licensing. “I confirm it 100%: no one is working on it,” Grubb concludes succinctly. “I hear Sony doesn’t want anything to do with it anymore.”
