Sony presents itself again this month with a State of Play: among the novelties presented, there is Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach and its release date
As is customary, Sony also took the stage in October with its monthly Showcase, focusing on new PlayStation products and titles. On the last show held in September, the company had shown various interesting announcements, including the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, various ports on PC and next-generation consoles, trailers of some new games from small studios and titles to be released shortly thereafter. This month, the State of Play was all about games made by PlayStation partners, and figured among them too the creepy horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s, with the release date of the new chapter titled Security Breach.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach was first announced in 2019, during the fifth anniversary of the series. However, due to some complications the title suffered several postponements, which brought it up to having yet to announce its official release in 2021. In some previews shown, it is possible to see how the game will be set in a commercial building in eighties style, equipped with numerous neon signs. Freddy Fazbear’s pizzeria will therefore be a restaurant located within this structure, which also includes a laser gun arena, a games room and a cinema.
The animatronics “Glamrock” will be in the main square of the mall, and there will be several new figures among them, as an animatronic from wolf-like features and another that possesses the aspect of an alligator. As with the other chapters of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, this new episode will also focus on having to make it through the night inside the restaurant, and from tonight’s State of Play it was also possible to finally get a release date. : the game will therefore land on PS4 and PS5 consoles starting from 16 December 2021.
