Always a good thing if State of Play rhymes with gameplay trailers: the remake of Silent Hill 2 shows itself in all its horrifying splendor
There were many titles that jostled to share the spotlight State of Playand although we are all happy to see a trailer on gameplay even for Stellar Blade, many of us were anxious more about the remake which has been waiting for a long time Silent Hill 2. The game of Konamiproperly restored by Bloober Teamwill take advantage of theUnreal Engine 5, and the video certainly makes no secret of it: in its horror, the title promises to be stupendous. We also have the opportunity to take a look at the combat mechanics present in the game, but as if that weren’t enough in the tweet below Sony reminds us that Konami wanted to compensate for the absence of a release date with a very respectable appetizer.

The gameplay in the State of Play trailer is anything but horrible: the remake of Silent Hill 2… lives!
So yes, the remake of Silent Hill 2 will make full use of Unreal Engine 5, as we had the opportunity to admire in the initial trailer before the latest State of Play showed us some concrete gameplay. Therefore, it will be interesting to see Bloober Team in action. Last October, the development team shared the minimum requirements for the PC version, and according to them the NVIDIA RTX2080 should be enough for 30 frames per second at 1080p resolution. Things, however, could very well change, especially after what we saw in the trailer. A few months ago, the voice actor of the protagonist declared that the game would be released at the beginning of 2024. But, as already mentioned, we don’t even have the shadow of a release date: we can only be patient. Maybe reading the recap, who knows?
