After a first announcement, which took place in November on the occasion of Stranger Things Day, the gameplay trailer of the new VR game dedicated to the popular Netflix series.
In Stranger Things VR players will be able to dress the rotting flesh of Vecna, main villain of the series, to fight Eleven and torment the minds of the protagonists. In the trailer we see the character moving in the Upside Down (with its tendrils), among the monsters that populate it.

The game will be released in the fall of 2023 for Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro, developed by Tender Claws. The official synopsis for the game reads:
“Players will invade the dreams and memories of fan-favorite characters and harness telekinetic powers to possess minds and battle creatures as Henry Creel’s transformation into Vecna and its influence on the events of previous seasons is revealed.”
Up to this moment Netflix has already released Stranger Things 1984 and Stranger Things 3: The Game. The first was released in 2017, while the second in 2019. Both titles are part of the Netflix Gaming catalog, the collection of mobile games exclusive to subscribers to the streaming platform. Stranger Things VR will instead be something totally different, being a triple A game.
Meanwhile Stranger Things fans await the release of the last season, the one that will show us the final battle for Hawkins, between Vecna and Undi’s company.
