Supermassive Games working on an unannounced title

A new title, not yet announced, is boiling in the horror-hued cauldron of Supermassive Games: is a multiplayer game coming?

After creating a title like Until Dawn and having continued with the anthology Dark Pictures, it is clear that from Supermassive Games you expect that any game not yet announced adhere to the same “interactive adventure” format. So it might surprise you that the development team’s website hints at a hiring search in a slightly different parameter. This is a place for “multiplayer game designer“. The job offer alludes to the fact that the development team is working on a whole new project, and that as such has not yet received any form of marketing.

The toto-game for the title that Supermassive Games has not yet announced…

Supermassive Games’ job offer for its new title mentions that the game will have to have “a variety of captivating multiplayer systems”: all that is known about the as yet unannounced project is a passing mention of combat e progress mechanics. Although the games in the anthology have never omitted multiplayer (emphasizing it at times), the last few things mentioned in the announcement do not fall into the developers’ portfolio. About a year ago, however, the latter posted a similar ad, so something is sure to be brewing.

There is no way to know what it is. What we know in terms of news consists only in the sale of 30% of the shares to Nordisk, while last year the collaboration with Stadia for an exclusive project was announced. As for the closer and more tangible future, we only know that the finale of the anthology is scheduled for next year. We just have to wait for the release of The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me (see the announcement trailer above, just in case) before focusing on the future of this stellar team of talented developers.
