In a press release, Microids announced the arrival of the retail edition and the original vinyl soundtrack of Syberia: The World Before
Syberia’s brand had remained silent since, in 2017, fans had been able to get their hands on the third numbered chapter of the franchise, only to fall back into the obscurity of the titles “beautiful, but that everyone catches little”. That was until Syberia: The World Before was announced, a chapter released after the death of Benoit Sokal, the original author of the series, and which had so much to prove especially to all fans of the Kate Walker saga. We do not anticipate anything of our impressions, because you can already find them in our review (click here!). What the fans lacked was the fetish, the retail edition. And finally there we are.
The physical edition of the new chapter of Syberia is officially available for purchase, as announced by Microids itself, and brings with it the following content, as well as a Steam code of the game:
- The original soundtrack
- The introductory script
- Wallpaper, avatar e storyboard originali di Benoit Sokai
In addition, the highly acclaimed soundtrack and musical commentary composed by the acclaimed Inon Zur (Syberia III, Fallout, Dragon Age, Prince of Persia), already available digitally, have now also arrived in a prestigious vinyl version.
Syberia: The World Before also arrives in retail, a new beginning for Kate Walker?
Syberia: The World Before tells the story of Dana Roze, a young 17-year-old woman who is heading towards a brilliant career as a pianist. Except that we are in Vaghen, in 1937, and therefore at the gates of the Second World War, with the threat of the Nazi shadow (and fascist, in this case) that she is becoming more and more present and intrusive. A leap forward of almost 70 years: Taiga, 2004. Young Kate Walker tries to survive to the best of her ability in the salt mine where she was imprisonedwhen a tragic event pushes her into a new adventure in search of her identity.
Syberia: The World Before is therefore now also available in a retail edition, for the sake of collectors, who will also be able to put their hand to the vinyl of the soundtrack.
