Tesla, the giant of electric carsannounced that by the end of the year will realize fully self-driving vehicles, according to CEO Elon Musk. Speaking via video link at the opening ceremony of an AI conference in Shanghai, Musk claimed:
I think we are very close to achieving full autonomous driving without human supervision. This is just a forecast, but I think we will reach full autonomous driving level 4 or 5 by the end of the year
Musk admitted that he has made mistakes in the past in predicting the evolution of this technology, but stressed that he now feels closer to the finish line than ever.
