Also this year the most awaited night for the gaming world has ended: that of The Game Awards. We followed the event live for you, creating two specific articles: one for the winners, one for the most important announcements. Many software houses have taken turns on the Keighley stage and there have been many innovations. Among the most anticipated we certainly include the release date of Final Fantasy XVI and the announcement of Death Stranding 2, but among the big names there is also someone who, albeit with less fanfare, has pulled two rather interesting news out of the hat. Yes, you have already read the title of the article, we are talking about Nintendo.
Announcements and awards for Nintendo on stage at TGA 2022
Before seeing the two Nintendo announcements on the TGA 2022 stage, we want to talk for a moment about the awards received by the games of the great N. Bayonetta 3, for example, took home the award for best action game, while Kirby and the Lost Land won the award for best family game. Splatoon 3 won best multiplayer and finally The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom won the most anticipated game award. There were many other nominations, among the candidates there were also Nintendo Switch Sports, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Triangle Strategy, LIVE A LIVE, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and much more. In short: a spectacular night for Nintendo too.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon | TGA 2022: all announcements from Nintendo!
The first big announcement that Nintendo brought to the stage of The Game Awards 2022 is definitely Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. New chapter in the series, a spin-off in which we will take control of Cereza, a young apprentice witch who then, a few years later, will be called Bayonetta. In addition to sporting a striking and unique storybook-inspired art style, this new title also features gameplay never before seen in the series. Controlling both Cereza and her infernal demon partner, Cheshire, we’ll have to focus on exploration, combat and puzzle solving to help Cereza delve into the forest.
If you want to take a sneak peek at the game already, a short playable teaser can be accessed within Bayonetta 3 for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. If you have purchased the Old Photo Book at Rodin’s shop, Gates of Hell, using the in-game currency and unlocking it with the three required keys you will be able to… access. The full version, on the other hand, will be available from March 17, 2023, obviously exclusively on Nintendo Switch. We leave you the announcement trailer below.
Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass | TGA 2022: all announcements from Nintendo!
The Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass was also introduced on stage at TGA 2022. The first of four DLC packs will be released when the game launches on Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023. It will add a variety of content, including Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude from Fire Emblem: Three Houses as an Emblem, and Tiki from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, as another Emblem.
Emblems can be summoned in Fire Emblem Engage to fight alongside the main heroes, helping them increase their stats and assisting them in combat. More information on the three Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass add-on packs will be revealed in the futureincluding details on the new story scenario in pack 4.
