The Beacon promises to be a truly intense film; a raw reflection on society and family, set in Great Britain. The synopsis reads:

Joshua Nyaga decides to leave London and go to the countryside to spend a summer weekend with his girlfriend Cass and her family for the first time. Torn, when he was just a boy, by the violence of the civil war in Uganda and catapulted into the asphalt jungle of London, Joshua has never had the privileges enjoyed by Cass’s family. Surrounded by the sea and magnificent natural landscapes, the country house is an oasis brimming with high ideals and lively conversations between Cass’ father and stepmother and their longtime friend Michael. Joshua is warmly welcomed, but a sudden act of violent racism at a local concert disrupts the overall peace, forcing Joshua and those around him to confront the uncomfortable truth about their differences.

Fiennes himself will be the protagonist of the feature film. At his side Indira Varma, Charles Babalola e Alison Oliver.
