The Lucasfilm series centered on the francise’s most famous bounty hunter character, Boba Fett, sheds light on the question that has been plaguing fans for many years. In the first episode, available from December 29 for streaming on Disney +, viewers learned how Boba Fett managed to survive after he ended up in the belly of the hungry monster Sarlacc in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. Clues had already been sown in The Mandalorian but now, through a flashback, we have been told the whole story that thus fills one of the gaps in the Star Wars canon.
The book of Boba Fett: how Boba survived the Sarlacc
In Return of the Jedi the bounty hunter had fallen into the pit of the hungry Sarlacc, the fearsome creature of Tatooine who destined his prey to terrible torment. In The Mandalorian 2 we found out that Boba had managed to free himself from the monster’s stomach and was alive, but how did that happen? For many years, as many as 38, Star Wars fans have speculated that Boba used his jetpack to pop out of the Sarlacc’s stomach. Instead, in the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett, we discovered that he broke through the guts of the monster using the oxygen reserves of a dead stormtrooper. Thanks to the flamethrower he cut the organs reaching the mouth of the Sarlacc from where he came out. Later the Sandpods of Tatooine found him and made prisoner and the story rejoins in this way, with the one we saw in The Mandalorian 2. All this we learn from the memories of Boba himself while he is in a bacta tank, where he is awakened. by Fennec Shand.
What happened to Boba Fett’s armor
To complete the topic, we also remind you of what we discovered in the second season of The Mandalorian. After his miraculous survival, the Sandpods had brutalized Boba’s body, while his precious armor had been sold by the Jawas to Sheriff Cobb Vanth.
Cobb Vanth and Mando had worked together to defeat the dragon Kryat who had taken possession of the very lair of the Sarlacc. Only then did Boba Fett appear, ready to reclaim his old armor. For a full five years, however, Boba Fett hadn’t. The question that arises is simple and its answer is still missing: why?
We just have to wait for the second episode of The book of Boba Fett, arriving on Disney + on January 5th. We are sure that other fantastic adventures and surprises are waiting for us!
