A new animated film for adults and children is about to arrive in Italian cinemas. It’s about The Canterville Ghosta film based on one of the most famous stories by one of the most well-known and appreciated authors of the 19th century: Oscar Wilde. The plot will take us straight to the English countryside of the late nineteenth century. Here a small American family decides to buy a castle that is said to be haunted by a ghost.

The film’s synopsis reads:
As the nineteenth century gives way to the twentieth century and scientific invention brings forth new ways of traversing and seeing the world, a modern American family moves to their new country home, Canterville Chase, England, where they discover that the mansion it is haunted by a ghost. Sir Simon de Canterville has lived undisturbed on the grounds of Canterville Chase for over three hundred years, but meets a worthy adversary when he tries to scare off the newcomers.
The Canterville Ghost is directed by Kim Burdon e Robert Chandler and scripted by Giles New e Keiron Self. The English actor Stephen Fry is among the executive producers. The latter has a special relationship with the writer and playwright Oscar Wilde, given that he played his face in the 1997 biographical film Wilde.
