Netflix’s The Chronicles of Narnia should start filming as early as 2024, or at least that’s what the streaming platform hopes
The production of the vision of the work The Chronicles of Narnia of Netflix should already begin in 2024, with Greta Gerwig directing. This was confirmed by the Netflix executive, Scott Stuberwhich revealed that the streaming giant hopes to begin filming the film based on CS Lewis’ fantasy novel series as early as 2024. The news of the director’s hiring for the reboot of the saga was already announced last year and now it finally seems to be catching on.
Studer himself spoke about the creation of the reboot of the saga in an interview with Collider, in which he specifies that Netflix’s intention is to start production of the Chronicles of Narnia next year. Obviously the words of the executive are more a hopeas the film risks delays in production due to the actors’ strike, which is currently still ongoing.

Since the Writers Guild Of America has officially ended her strike, Greta Gerwig has been able to resume writing the screenplays of the next two The Chronicles of Narnia films for Netflix, of which she will also be the director. Unfortunately, however, given that SAG-AFTRA has not yet received the fair agreement needed to put an end to the actors’ strike and then to start shooting the film, you run the risk that Netflix’s plan to begin production on the first film franchise is scheduled for 2024, may be subject to slippage.
