Through a press release, NVIDIA has released its new blogpost in which it highlights the evident growth of the African video game industry: a very little widespread, but noteworthy topic
Meanwhile we are all waiting for the AAA on duty, from Horizon Forbidden West, to Gran Turismo 7 passing through Dying Light 2, there is a theme that is very little talked about, but which is rather interesting to deepen. If in the countries of the first world, whatever continent it is, the video game industry is thriving and has received an interesting boost (in terms purely of sales) from the Coronavirus pandemic, this is spreading and expanding even in a part of the globe that we would never have taken into consideration, in this sense. We are talking about Africa, a continent that definitely has other things to think about besides gaming, but whose industry is in any case intensifying in quantity and quality of productions.
To tell us is a report from NVIDIA, disclosed to us through a press release, and reported in a blog post in its official channels, which you can reach by clicking here. Although, as mentioned, this is a not very common topic, the gaming market in Africa is under development and an annual growth of 12% is estimated by 2026, four times the global annual rate. Local startups and developers are at the forefront, devising and creating great games that aim to be both fun and educational for Africa’s growing youth population.
