The first Italian Cyber Security Academy is born in Padua. This is the result of a project that started 2 years ago and has now reached its official formalization. Digitization has made work ever smarter, creating new risks of cyber raids by web pirates. The new project aims to support businesses and public bodies, counteracting the risks associated with digitization.
Cyber Security: the first Italian Academy was born in Padua
Various subjects contributed to the birth of the project such as Forum, Assindustria training institution Venetocentro, and the Paduan IT company Corvallis in addition to partners YOROI e Swascan. The academy will be based at the Corvallis of Padua. The aim of the project is to train “good hackers” able to counter the incursions of the “bad” ones. The training course includes the participation of 25 Cyber Security technicians.
These are young professionals, all under the age of 30 and with at least 2 years of full-time experience in the information security sector. The training will be completed with a Summer School that will allow experts to become “Cyber Security Manager”. The new specialization course will start at the end of August and will last 120 hours.
Corvallis’ comment
Pietro Orciuolo, coordinator of the ITS Academy and Corvallis Chief Digital Officer, says: “The situation is critical and cyber attacks cost millions of euros every year to companies in our area. Training specialists with the highest level of preparation in the sector is, above all, also a moral obligation to guarantee the continuity of the companies themselves and the protection of the workers involved “.
