I in-display fingerprint sensors are among the most awaited news by Samsung users – and not only -. In this regard, Business Korea had reported that the Korean company was thinking of adding them to the models Galaxy Fold 4 e Galaxy Flip 4, although he seems to have recently changed his mind about it. Apparently, the foldable Samsung will continue to have the sensor on the power button, located on the side of the smartphone. Both are expected to be released by the third quarter of the year. And only then will they confirm this hypothesis.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G: the fingerprint sensor arrives under the display
Everyone expected that the latest model of the Galaxy Z Fold series would have the in-display fingerprint sensor. Some time ago, in fact, a company patent application filed with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was leaked on the Net, which clearly showed a sensor below the display, which can be activated both with the display open and closed. The patent, in fact, shows that with the foldable smartphone closed it is possible to verify a fingerprint by pressing on bottom center of the outer cover display.

Conversely, when the phone is open, the fingerprint scanner is located at the bottom left of the larger screen. An operation that would be made possible by the use of a dual scanner. As it turns out, though, Samsung won’t be the only company to use an in-display fingerprint sensor. Also Vivoaccording to what leaked on the Net, to use a similar device in its new first leaflet, theX Fold, which will be released on April 11th. Considering this, it’s clear that Samsung enthusiasts will have to wait a little longer before seeing the in-display sensor with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G.
