Il remaster di GoldenEye 007 avrà il supporto online su Switch ma non su Xbox thumbnail

The GoldenEye 007 remaster will have online support on Switch but not Xbox

Originally released in 1997 for the Nintendo 64, GoldenEye 007 is ready to return to modern consoles, with a remake for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox. Microsoft has announced that the game will be included in the catalog Game Pass but that, unlike the Switch version, will not feature online multiplayer mode.

Conversely, Nintendo is pushing a lot of its communication efforts to emphasize that players will have the ability to play together remotely.

What we know about GoldenEye 007 on Xbox

The developer Rare revealed that the game, on Xbox, will feature a 4K resolution, a smoother framerate than the original and a local multiplayer mode (split screen). Here are the statements of Microsoft, which confirmed the absence of an online multiplayer:

“Xbox is thrilled to bring GoldenEye 007 to Xbox Game Pass for the first time. This is a faithful reproduction of a much loved and iconic title. While there are no plans to include online multiplayer on Game Pass, Xbox’s efforts are focused on bringing this title to gamers in the world. These will be able to compete in the mode local multiplayer, up to a maximum of four players”.
