In a press release, Capcom announced the western release date of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, a collection that tells the story of an ancestor of Phoenix Wright
Capcom isn’t just Devil May Cry or Street Fighter. Although in the West it is a series more dedicated to the niche, another of the company’s imperishable pearls is definitely Ace Attorney. Composed of several chapters and many spinoffs, the series mainly carries on the adventures of Phoenix Wright, an excellent lawyer protagonist of a myriad of complex cases in courtrooms populated by strange individuals. Via press release, Capcom announced the arrival in the west of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, which will be available for the first time in North America and Europe on July 27th. In this collection you will be able to take control of an ancestor of Phoenix Wright, a defense attorney, in search of evidence to take to court in order to guarantee a just sentence.
The Collection will arrive on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Steam and will include both titles released so far, The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve. A digital bundle featuring both The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy games will be available on all platforms. The announcement was accompanied by a video message from Shu Takumi, Director of the Ace Attorney series, which we leave you right below. Set in the late 19th century during the Meiji period in Japan and the Victorian era in England, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles follows the adventures of Ryunosuke Naruhodo as he works to uncover the truth behind witness statements and to redeem the names of his clients in court.

Ten exciting cases will be available and you can test your skills as a lawyer to gather evidence, interrogate key witnesses and defend your clients in court. For the first time, the collection sees the debut of two new gameplay experiences. During the investigation you can team up with Herlock Sholmes, the local detective, to engage in one “Dance of Deduction” to identify errors in the detective’s off-board logic. In the classroom, however, you can take part in the “Summation Examinations”, to highlight the jury’s discrepancies in hopes of obtaining a “not guilty” verdict.
