If you can’t wait for the second season of The Last of Us, one of the most successful series of the year, unfortunately the news of the last few hours will not be at all comforting. According to some announcements, HBO would in fact the start of filming of the new season has been postponed, already marked by the delay due to the strike of actors and screenwriters in the past weeks. The cause of the new delay could be due to other work commitments of the actor Pedro Pascal.

Filming of the new season would have been postponed by a few months, which could, inevitably, also lead to a delay in the release. Just a few days ago, MaxBlizz indicated the opening date of the set as January 7, 2024. However, things would have changed, causing the start of filming to be postponed to February 20, and a deadline set for September 9, 2024. A good bit of time later. But what would be the reasons for this shift? As already mentioned, everything would be due to the work commitments of Pedro Pascal, who plays Joel. In fact, it would seem that the actor is busy with other big productions: Gladiator 2 and Fantastic Four, where he will play Mr. Fantastic.

It is logical to think that, with filming postponed, the release of The Last of Us 2 will also take longer than expected. We certainly won’t see Joel and Ellie again until 2025.
