Lo showrunner di The Last of Us Craig Mazin, during an event organized by Variety magazine, confirmed the start of work on the set for the second season of the series inspired by the well-known video game. A few days ago, an indiscretion emerged regarding a possible engagement on set scheduled for the end of February in the city of Vancouver thanks to the Canadian Filmmakers Union. Compared to what had been anticipated at the start of production of the second season of The Last of Us, the date of about a week has been specified, which will correspond to February 12th.

In the second season, Pascal and Bella Ramsey will return in the roles of Joel Miller and Ellie Williams. The Last of Us is set 20 years after the destruction of modern civilization, in a dystopian world plagued by a disease that transforms humans into zombies. At the center of the plot is the relationship between Joel and Ellie, a teenager who could be the key to curing a deadly pandemic. Joel is hired to smuggle the 14-year-old girl out of a quarantine zone. What begins as an easy assignment soon becomes a harrowing journey as they travel across the United States, relying on each other to survive in this brutal and desolate world.
The news of the start of filming on the second season of the series shortly follows that of Sony, which announced theRemastered edition of The Last of Us Part 2 for PS5, out January 19th. The concomitance of the two events on the one hand signals the cunning of Sony marketing, on the other it suggests the idea that some of the additional contents of the re-release could appear transposed into the series.
