One week after the closure of the first, obviously we are already talking about the release of the second season of The Last of Us: this time Bella Ramsey tells us something
We have just said goodbye to the first season of The Last of Us, an HBO television series that transformed the first video game of the Naughty Dog franchise, and there is already talk of the second. It’s actually nothing to be surprised considering the success that the series has had, especially thanks to the excellent performances of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. Neil Druckmann has already confirmed it, but he obviously did not give a release period or further details on the matter. Maybe, a little something, but Bella herself tells us so.
Ospite del The Jonathan Ross Show, Ramsey stated that filming for season 2 should begin in late 2023 or early 2024. And, also according to her, the second season of The Last of Us should hit international screens in late 2024 or early 2025. She added:
Obviously plans can change. Nothing is set in stone, and HBO has yet to issue official confirmation on when Season 2 will start filming and when it will air.
The Last of Us and the release of the second season: the word to Bella Ramsey!
The second season of The Last of Us also it shouldn’t even be the last. According to what Druckmann always said, there are already plans underway for the creation of Season 3. And that’s not a big surprise either, especially considering that it has already been confirmed that the events of The Last of Us Part II will not be able to be compressed into a single season.
While still not having any official confirmation, both Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey have stated that the second season of The Last of Us should start shooting at the end of 2023, and it is therefore probable that the release is not scheduled before 2025.
