According to what the guys at HBO said and reported MaxBlizz, filming of the second season will begin on January 7, 2024 in Vancouver, Canada, after long months of waiting caused by the actors’ strike. Speaking instead of the release period of the second season, we do not have a precise date, but HBO has said that we will not see it before 2025. More specifically we could see the new season at the beginning of 2025. The director of the series confirmed that the second season will not be the last and that indeed, according to game director Neil Druckman, who also supervised the live action TV series of the video game starring Pedro Pascal e Bella Ramsey. Author Craig Mazin had previously confirmed that a single season would not be enough to cover the events of The Last Of Us Part II, but now we have confirmation.
The show will not end with season 2, unless people stop watching it, in which case we will cancel it.
