The version OnePlus gave us for this 10 pro review is the Emerald Forest (in the picture). The smartphone has dimensions and an important weightWe are talking about 163 × 73.9 × 8.55 mm for a good 200.5 grams which however return agreat feel to the hand without ever weighing it down. The back of the mouse is characterized by an excellent quality plastic material with a satin effect that does not retain any type of fingerprint. The edges of the device, as well as the area dedicated to the cameras, is instead in shiny metal, in excellent contrast with the rest of the body.

On the bottom of the smartphone we find thetype C charging input, i Dual Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and dual Sim input. Great absent, as now the standard of the top of the range, the Jack input for the headphones. On the left side we find the volume key while on the right side, in addition to the power button, we find a knurled mobile button to set the phone in silent, vibration or audio mode. The display is a 6.7 ″ AMOLED protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass which has a notch of the front camera on the top left.

Undoubtedly the most intriguing part is that occupied by three rear camera lenses made in collaboration with Hasselblad. The box is made, as anticipated, in metal and is slightly protruding from the body of the smartphone. The three lenses are accompanied by a double LED flash that enriches the composition and design.

Inside the packagein addition to the smartphone, we find a protective rubber cover in the same green color as the smartphone, the instruction booklet, the 80 W SUPERVOOC charger and the iconic OnePLus USB Type C red cable.

Technology

Entering the heart of the OnePlus 10 Pro, we find a first generation Snapdragon 8 processor, the latest invention of the company as well as the most performing with 5G support. This, associated with the RAM LPDDR5 e UFS3.1, offers fast performance, flawless and always at hand. There RAM amounts to 8 or 12GB depending on the model chosen but it can be expanded further up to 7GB more in the device settings, sacrificing some memory. The latter amounts to 128GB o 256GB. And to make the most of the new power, there is also a system of 5-layer 3D passive cooling. The most advanced ever made by the company: it acts on an area of 34.119,052 mm².

The 6.7 “display we have known is a QHD+ fluid AMOLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate thanks to the new generation of LTPO displays. With this new version, in addition to a better refresh rate, we can also save money up to 30% energy more. OnePlus is also the first in the industry to have a display with technology Dual Color Calibration. This ensures accurate and natural colors this is 100 nits you are 500 nits. This means that even when the brightness is low, the colors are extremely accurate.

The whole is supported by a broad 5000 mAh battery con support for SUPERVOOC fast charging from 80W. This translates into a 1 to 100% recharge in just over half an hour. Then there is the AIRVOOC 50W wireless charging that brings OnePlus 10 Pro from 1-100% in 47 minutes.

The camera together with Hasselblad

Pgreased diamond of this OnePLus 10 Pro is undoubtedly the photographic sector. We are talking about a triple 48 MP rear camera of the main objective IMX789 with dimensions of 1 / 1.43 inchesand 50MP wide angle and an 8MP telephoto lens. We are facing a high quality combo made in collaboration with Hasselbladthe historic Swedish brand specializing in sensors and lenses.

The device is supported by technology OnePlus Billion Color Solution for the ability to apply Hasselblad’s Natural Color Calibration to over a billion colors. In other words, all three cameras (main, ultra-wide and telephoto) they shoot at 10-bit. So the smartphone covers 25% more of the DCI-P3 gamut and processes 64 times more colors than a traditional smartphone. Inside the software there is no lack of Pro Modewhich allows you to shoot with all three rear cameras foto a 12-bit in formato RAW, perfect for editing in post-production. The format RAW+ instead it allows you to have all the advantages of RAW shots, but with artificial intelligence that reduces noise and increases dynamism. Finally, the new camera ultra-wide da 150° has several features such as Fish Eye mode. But you can also adjust it to 110 ° for more orthodox shots.

The video technology it allows instead to realize 720p up to 8K footage, if you are willing to make some sacrifices! AI Highlight video technology, designed for night videos, cannot be activated in larger formats, as well as ultra steady technology. As for the much loved ones FPS, the camera is able to support up to 120 when using 4K while it drops to 24 FPS if you decide to film in 8K.

Our test of the OnePlus 10 Pro

oneplus 10 for review

For this review, we tested the new OnePlus 10 Pro for about two weeks during which we took it with us in the best situation to stress a smartphone: on the go.

ILet’s start immediately by saying that this OnePlus 10 Pro is presented in the best way. The soft lines of the screen combine perfectly with the harder and more compact lines of the device’s corners for a very particular design accentuated by the excellent materialsie by the satin touch of the back. Here the camera set stands out best enclosed in the metallic dial. However, it is true that the dial is thicker than the body of the device which causes it to wobble a bit when placed on a flat surface. Fortunately, OnePlus has seen fit to insert in the package a cover of the same color as the smartphone body that eliminates the difference in height, further protects the smartphone and does not make us forget the style that characterizes it.

Display and processor they work in unison to give us a fantastic visual experience. Colors are vivid and vibrant, whether it’s playing video games or watching a TV series. In the same way, the touch screen reacts perfectly without any kind of hitch allowing the finger to slide pleasantly on the display. Despite our attempts and dozens of apps open, the device never showed signs of fatigue reacting perfectly always and in any case.

As gamers we have also stressed him out with the latest and most performing video games such as League of Legends Wild Rift, Genshin Impact e Apex Legends, released just in these days. With everyone he proved to live up to expectations without ever lowering performance. This thanks toHyperBoost Gaming Engine, which offer stable gaming performance and maximum responsiveness. There is also General Performance Adapter (GPA) Frame Stabilizer to reduce the fluctuation of the frame rate during the game.

Hasselblad approved cameras

A separate discussion must be made for the photographic sector, which left us really amazed though does not deviate from the previous model very long. The collaboration with Hassleblad continues but the progress we expected does not go so well. Don’t get us wrong, as you can see from these examples, the camera rendition is amazing images and colors are more vivid than everthe shortcomings of the last generation remained as a tendency towards cold tones and an excessive overexposure of the shadows.

The night mode, as long as you have the right tools. Thanks to the support of the AI Highlight, the device is able to bring light where it is not there but to get the best shots you will need the right tools or a very steady hand. This especially applies to the tripod mode of the night mode which takes 30 to 50 seconds to process the best light for your night shots. The result, as you see below, is …
